Why Advanced Driving?
Advanced driving improves knowledge, awareness, concentration and car handling skills, developing the driver into one who is confident, efficient and up to SEVEN times safer than the average driver.

Courses
For the November 2009 through March 2010 Courses only, the Classroom Sessions will run back−to−back with the Welcome Mornings on a Saturday Morning.

Costs
For only £139 the “Skill for Life” Course offers hours and hours of one to one coaching from a qualified IAM Observer on how to improve your driving in order to pass the IAM's Advanced Test.
For only £6 per annum, Group Membership offers you a free annual confidential assessment of your driving skills and invitation to several driving-related functions and social events.

Young Drivers
The Group is offering free Advanced Driving Courses to all drivers under the age of 25.
The Group will refund your Course fee of £139 (administered by the Institute of Advanced Motorists), in full, upon the your completion of the Course and passing the Advanced Test.

Future Events
Non−regular events such as the Annual General Meeting (generally in April), Drive Outs (every three months), Visits, and Social Events are displayed under Forthcoming Events as soon as they are arranged so it's worth checking regularly.
Regular events are displayed for one year ahead on dedicated pages for Course Dates and Committee Meetings.
